Kat Rains’ first years in real estate have been successful and inspiring. She quickly rose from the newest agent on the team to one of the top performing agents on her team, selling 16 homes in her first few years in the industry. She’ll tell you she no longer works because she genuinely loves her role — selling real estate and working with both sellers and buyers.
A member of the San Francisco Association of Realtors®, California Association of Realtors®, and National Association of Realtors®, Kat concentrates on helping her clients reach and surpass their goals. She has helped sellers get their “pie in the sky” price, set a record-breaking price per square foot, managed the prep and sale of a family home working with six siblings who lived out of the area, amongst many other complex experiences to draw upon. On the buying side, she helped one client buy a duplex which he had been passively looking at for years, shown other clients a home they otherwise wouldn’t have considered (which ended up being perfect for them), and helped clients buy a home with a preemptive offer that was well below market value. Whether on the selling or buying side, Kat follows her intuition for the best possible outcome for her clients.
Quickly learning that no two deals are the same, Kat navigated her way to many happy clients with a team of very supportive people at the brokerage. Her genuine interest in people and desire to help are beneficial for her clients as she is able to do everything from A to Z while watching expenses to maximize their profits. This includes coordinating estate sales and arranging haul jobs or donations for their belongings as part of the path to selling their home. She enjoys previewing homes for her clients, so she doesn’t waste their time looking at homes that she knows won’t work for their needs or budget.
Kat resides in the Golden Gate Heights neighborhood of San Francisco with her husband, two kids, and their dog. You can find her working at the beautiful West Portal office, taking long walks with her dog, practicing yoga, on the sidelines of the soccer field, or spending time with her friends and family.
